Accreditation & Affiliations

The Montessori School of Tokyo (MST) is a member of the Japan Council of International Schools (JCIS), an organisation made up of the heads of the leading International schools in Japan.
 

We are also fully accredited by The International Montessori Council (IMC), an accreditation agency for public, independent and proprietary schools worldwide. MST received numerous commendations from the IMC after our most recent re-accreditation process in 2023.

MST is closely aligned with the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI).

The majority of classrooms are led by AMI trained teachers and many of our Administrators are also AMI diploma holders.  We support AMI primarily through accommodating AMI teachers-in-training to meet requirements for observations and teaching practicals at various levels of certification.
