The Eucalyptus community has donated to TELL, UNICEF and Noto earthquake relief from the money collected and raised at the Eucalyptus Holiday Fair.
TELL (Tokyo English Lifeline) “is dedicated to providing effective support and counseling services to Japan’s international community and its increasing mental health needs.” (Quoting their website.) Our ¥14,816 donation will help them expand the lifeline to 24/7 coverage over Japan. We wanted to support the mental health of our community.
Another ¥14,816 went to UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund). According to their website, “UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to save children’s lives, to defend their rights, and to help them fulfill their potential.” By donating, we could be saving a child’s life, giving them education, giving them the right medical attention, or giving them food and clean water.
An extra ¥51,300 was given to the rebuilding of lives and homes after the recent Noto Peninsula earthquake. This donation was 45% of our revenue from the Holiday Fair, which means this came out of our Coffee Wave, Honesty Shop, and garden sales.
Thank you to the MST community for contributing to these donations and for supporting our philanthropy. We truly could not have done this without you!
